I received an email from a mortgage field services inspector talking about customer server problems and penalties on late inspections.
Yes, it happens in the mortgage segment, that a mortgage inspection customer's server goes down in the evening or on the weekend and the field inspector is charged a penalty for late inspections caused because of the server problem.
Why do all of these things happen in the mortgage segment? ... the home of the low-fee inspections and 99% of all of the problems in the field services industry.
Customer servers go down and the field inspector is not only inconvenienced ... but, also penalized for late inspections. It's always the inspector's computer and not the customer's server that is the problem.
